“I’d rather go hunting  than ride with Ted Kennedy”

Putting the partisan pot shot aside…maybe it is just me, but I would rather take a ride with a drunk than get shot in the head.

Wi-Fi “more and more popular”

Posted by Bartleby on October 17, 2007

An email from the tech department at work: “Since the use of wi-fi has become more and more popular we are holding a training session on what it is and how to connect to it”

First off, wi-fi was “more and more popular,” like, two years ago! Now it IS popular to the point where it is the norm, the default.  I also feel sorry for the folks that have to go to a training session to learn about wi-fi.  It is interesting how scared older people are of computers and won’t do anything unless it is cleared by a geek in the tech dept.  Hmmm, why don’t you use the computer to learn how to use the computer?!

How could those heartless caption bastards

Posted by Bartleby on October 17, 2007

MIKE Nelson, far left, in his own little window?? Shouldn’t he be off doing Colorado weather? Not to mention the slight to what I think is Mayor Mike Fahey sitting behind the window divider. I guess I should cut them some slack b/c sports editors probably did it, considering the pic is part of a Tom Osborne image slideshow.

make the bad man stop

Posted by Bartleby on October 17, 2007

I’m tired and worn out, already.

A classmate mentioned that I looked tired yesterday, to which I accurately returned the observation and noted partly in jest that if you aren’t tired you probably aren’t working/studying enough.  But that is the problem, I’m tired and still not getting enoug done. That is where an assessment is to be made.  How the hell am I going to find time to outline early if it’s hard enough having time to ready daily assignments?  Not that I am freaking out too much, I know it will get done and all work out.  This is just the normal “freak out, what the hell is going on” part of the semester.

But it didn’t help that I haven’t slept good the last few nights.  Blame it on the change of weather or a busy mind.  I did get 4 hours last night which is good enough for me to function properly.

I need a haircut, it has been well over a month but doesn’t look to shabby.  When this whole lawyer thing pans out I’ll get it cut every three weeks.
